CR Pride has always been dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces and advocating for the LGBTQIA+ community in Cedar Rapids and beyond. We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our community over the years—your donations, volunteer efforts, and corporate sponsorships have made it possible for us to host events, provide resources, and create spaces where everyone feels they belong.

Like many nonprofits, we are facing increasing challenges in fundraising due to the current economic and social climate. Corporate donations, which have historically been a crucial part of our funding, have slowed drastically as businesses navigate economic uncertainty. Unfortunately, this means we may soon have to make difficult decisions that will impact our ability to provide the safe spaces and events our community relies on.

Now, more than ever, we need your support. Here’s how you can help:

• Make a Personal Donation – Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If your employer offers a matching gift program, your donation could have double the impact.
• Encourage Corporate Sponsorship – Speak with your employer about becoming a CR Pride sponsor. Businesses that support LGBTQIA+ inclusion help ensure the future of our events and resources.
• Attend & Share Our Fundraisers – Our Dining with the Divas fundraiser on March 15 is a fantastic opportunity to support CR Pride while enjoying an evening of entertainment. Your attendance—and helping spread the word—can make a big impact.

Without additional support, we will need to scale back programming that provides essential safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals. But we remain hopeful that, just as this community has rallied together in the past, we can rise to meet this challenge once again.
